Welcome to the Blue Herons' Nest, home of the Ardea Herodias, better known as the Great Blue Heron.

 

The nests, made of sticks and twigs, sit high above the water in tall tree tops.  The nests are built in groups, like houses in a neighborhood.  The groups are called rookeries.  Rookeries can have as many as 135 nests in them.
